9th March 2006. Goathland, North Yorkshire.
I approached Classic Ford by e mail in early 2006 and was very pleased to be contacted by them to do a photo shoot with 3 of our Capris. A date was arranged and phtographer Alistair Cusick and writer John Betts duly arrived at my house at aprox. 10am. With a location decided upon we set off towards the village of Goathland in the North Yorkshire moors National Park. Many of you will know Goathland by it's alternative "TV name" of Aidensfield, the setting for ITV's 60's Police drama, Heartbeat.
The actual location we used was a small car park just off the A169 on the road to Goathland. There were large piles of stone there, which are for resurfacing the road and they made an excellent backdrop. The skies were a little overcast which really made the cars stand out against their surroundings. Whilst Alistair took the photos, we all chatted to John whilst he took notes.
After a couple of hours, we were ready for some action shots. A suitable location was again found on the road into Goathland, just after passing under the railway bridge. We did many "passes" where Alistair got the shots he wanted... at one point he was literally lying in the middle of the road whilst we passed him at about 30MPH...
We had a great time whilst doing this photo shoot and the article was published in issue 110 (August 2006).
I'd like to thank Classic Ford for a great day, a fantastic article and for sending me the photographs below.
